Immersive film & digital experience – Absa Corporate and Investment Banking

How do you illustrate the impact that the relationship between a banker and his client can realise ambitions and have a knock-on effect in order to change lives. This was the digital challenge that Absa CIB gave to us.

We decided to write the story, and film a day in the life of a very successful 3rd generation family business’s CEO – Jonathan. His ambition is to grow the family business throughout the African continent, and we show him and his banker Nick go to work planning the expansion together.

An intricate ballet between actors, the story and scenes and the camera crew was painstakingly plotted to create the illusion of a seamless day, where everything goes smoothly and things just fall into place.

The on-line content piece:

The on-line film was really just the start of the story, as we had to build a full user controlled digital environment, which allowed the user to scroll through the story and pause at the hotspots throughout it, to find out more about Absa CIBs offerings and stories of local success.

The digital experience:

Below is a screen cast of the immersive digital user experience. We shot the film to become the on-line digital experience that is fully controllable by the user. The user can scroll forward, and backward through the film and along the way can click on various links to watch more content and deal stories or click through to the transactional pages of the Absa CIB website.

  1. Credits: (List still incomplete), What kind of a ECD does this to people he works with? Get the complete list first before you put it on the Internet.
